Artisan Stone Work is a French registered company based in Brittany, France. However, we regularly take on projects throughout France.   We have experience with Earth structures (Cob/Rammed-Earth)  as well as Stone Buildings. We have worked on projects in Normandy, Limousin, Charente and welcome inquiries throughout France   Here are some examples of our Work here in France. Chateau de Tallis restauration work/ lime plastering. Lime plastering to round sub-strate inside the circular tower. Small stone and earth bread oven. Owners now enjoying traditionally cooked bread and pizzas!. Chateau de la Motte, Argentan, Normandy.  Repairs to outer perimeter wall and tower. Traditional french bread oven house suffering from neglect, decay and ivy attack... Restored, lime rendered internally... and externally with a new roof. Part of a medieval mill in Brittany... Rebuild in block and granite stonework of missing section of wall... and carving and construction of granite column.  Harling over ramned Earth building finished in yellow ochre. Repairs to earth substrate. Finished facade Lime Harling in red ochre. Gable end collapsing—  Limousin. Taken down safely. Rebuilt with block work support harled and lime washed in ochre leaving repairs to roof . Rebuilt gable this time in block and faced stone— Normandy. Repointing in lime mortar. The wall to this granary is dangerously leaning— Vandee. Wall taken down to foundations and rebuilt in lime mortar. Wall with buttress added. Doorway opening created through solid masonry wall.
