We are a small team of stonemasons/sculptors headed by Piers Conway, operating primarily in the South of England and Northern France. Fully qualified in the art and craft of stonework, our skills encompass; building, restoration, carving, sculpture, lettering, gilding, stone cleaning and surveying and consultancy. We have a wide range of experience gained from working on numerous projects from domestic houses and barns, to eccliesiastic buildings and monuments. We welcome enquiries from potential clients seeking expertises in a particular area of stone work — from stone walling to recut stone components and commisioned sculpture, to simple house signs. We are fully conversant in both modern and traditional building techniques and are sympathetic to the integrity of old buildings and their maintenance, whilst being considerate to our clients needs. We also offer a consultancy and surveying service, providing a complete report on your own property, or any potential property you may be considering. Our experience in stone comes from our training and our working history. We have worked with architects, private clients, historic building conservation companies, and renowned artists. Through our work we have been awarded the 'Queen Elizabeth Scholarship', 'The William Morris Craft Fellowship' from the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) and the 'Winston Churchill Trust Fellowship'.
